The Sophistiques have always given extra credit for stylish presentation. Homage has been paid in the past to such individuals as Kanye West and Wynter Gordon in part, due to this very concept. And with Brooklyn's own Theophilus London, we have effortlessly kept with this tradition. It takes bravery and courage to break from the norm and do something that maybe perceived as odd at first glance but, Theophilus London lacks for neither bravery nor courage. He isn't a darling of the music critics but he has "SOPHISTIQUE" written all over him. (We salute you brother!)

Theophilus London's look and sound both hark back to the best of the 80's. The Theophilus London "brand" can be thought of as an extended version of Whodini meets LL Cool J circa "I Need Love" (1987) mixed in with Morrissey and equally large amounts of pop chart aspirations. His debut album is expected to be released sometime this year, but his sound can be appreciated immediately through his mixtapes ("I Want You", "This Charming Mixtape" and "Lovers Holiday").
in the words of Theophilus London..."I inspire you and water inspires me/See, water's inside of you/And the ways the trees were made on the earth for us to breathe/You're a chick or a breeze/You're a cough, I'm a sneeze/This is come/Brooklyn, yeah, we on/Leave ya head in the fridge, I'm talking Jeffrey Dahmer/Yeah, these tight jeans"
