"Certainly, travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living."
Miriam Beard
Allow me to paint you a simple picture. It's the middle of winter and the temperature is 30 degrees outside. If you're a Polar Bear club member in Coney Island, NY, the water temperature will be in the 50's. If you're one of the privileged few and you happen to be at the Blue Lagoon in Iceland, the water temperature will be around 104 DEGREES!!! (THAT'S RIGHT, 104 DEGREES IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER!!!)

And when I say water, I don't mean tap water. This water is infused with so much silica, sulphur, algae and other minerals that water takes on a smooth milky blue consistency (IT IS TRULY OTHER WORLDLY!!!). Although, I haven't been there yet, I would liken it to Mars. The milky blue water maneuvers around a maze of (relatively) fresh jet black lava rock and deep green moss (it is... simply BREATH-TAKING...).

The Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa. The heated water occurs naturally.
I don't care how you get there, but you simply must go. I would hate for you to die without truly having lived...
