The Ultimate Accessory - Why Every Man Should Have One (Or Two, Or Three)...

"The best accessory for an outfit like this is a grim-looking buddy by my side."
Takayuki Ikkaku, Arisa Hosaka and Toshihiro Kawabata, Animal Crossing: Wild World,

At first thought, the answer to this question may appear to be a good watch, a decent pair of shoes or a dependable toothbrush (keeping the pearly whites as white as possible is paramount). But those responses would be shallow and baseless (in my highbrowed opinion). A question as deeply phrased as this requires a bit more thought. Language such as "Every Man" and "Should" can't be taken lightly at all.

The accessory that man should have at least of (...some men prefer to have multiples) is a woman (sweet and seductive...). Not just any woman, she must be equal parts beautiful as she is intelligent and interesting. This is true for all men, be he, gay or straight, single or married (if he's married or has been married, he no doubt sees the wisdom in my words). The relationship can be completely platonic or whatever you as a man find desirable. The right woman can garner you more attention (from women and men) than the fanciest of sports cars and nothing will speak more to who you are than her. But you must choose wisely, not all females are women. Remember, she must be "intelligent and interesting".

Think of the classic pairings of Bill and Hillary, Barack and Michelle, Will and Jada, Jim McGreevey and Dina Matos, Rick James and Teena Marie, Liz Taylor and Richard Burton (...and Mike Todd... and Eddie Fisher), Hugh Hefner & the girls and ask yourself "What would he be without her (or them)???". For the record, she should NOT be grim-looking...

The Vespa... (One Part Transportation... Two Parts Fashion Accessory)

"It is impossible to travel faster than the speed of light, and certainly not desirable, as one's hat keeps blowing off."
Woody Allen

Vespa, simply put, is SWAG!!! on two wheels. With a maximum speed of 80 mph, this isn't about speed (no, no my friend). This is about seeing and being seen. The romantic silhouette of the nostalgic 1950's Italian styling is unmistakable. Vespa drivers truly do live life, not the other way around. (Furthermore, "Hats blowing off" isn't cool, that could harm your swagger).

Vespas are manufactured by Piaggo. Their line of scooters are quintessential example of form meeting function. With the implementation of front protection shields (that add so much to the classic look), Vespas are designed to keep the drivers outfit clean. (It is IMPERATIVE that the Louis Vuitton loafers remain clean at all times).

Lady Gaga "Eh, Eh" ...Ms. Fame Monster cosigns the Vespa...

Jamaica , Yuh Good...

"No pressure, no diamonds."
Mary Case

The island of Jamaica has been in the news recently for issues that can't be described as positive. But, as with the clouds, the sunshine does eventually shine through. Life is naturally challenging for those raised in humbling situations anywhere on this planet of ours. In Jamaica, there is no exception. Given these difficulties, creative pursuits, can at times, be stifled and discouraged. Life is a long shot as it is, in these situations, why would you choose a career that is also a long shot (or so the common thinking my seem to appear).

Luckily, there are those who beat those odds and beat them by a good measure. Richard H. Campbell a.k.a. Rich Drenz, who recently debuted at Saints International's Style Week in Kingston, Jamaica on the grounds of the historic Devon House, is the shining example of the sun breaking through those clouds. He hails from the Portmore, St. Catherine region of the island. Drenz Fashion is his clothing line.

He describes his "street couture" designs as "edgy, unique and...providing the wearer with a feel of rush and thrill". Richie was quoted as saying "I am chasing my dream to be one of the worlds greatest casual apparel designer". Richie's well very well received, especially as a newcomer, by the audience in attendance at Saints International's Style Week. Drenz has survived the pressure... and soon he'll have his diamonds.

International Watch Company (Simple & Perfect)

"Simplicity is the peak of civilization."
Jessie Sampter

If an IWC watch were a man, he'd be the simple (in appearance only), strong silent type. He'd be the guy who could charm a woman without even uttering a word. He would never have to scream for attention, he would simply command it (with his glare). Even the official motto of IWC is simple and strong "good, solid craftsmanship from Schaffhausen". Make no mistake about it, these are men's watches made for men.

Imagine Rolls Royce or Bugatti trading in their names to be referred to as the International Car Company. International Watch Company is an unpretentious name for an unpretentious watch company. It's refreshing, something that you don't see very often in this day and age. From the Portofino to the Grande Complication, the entire line speaks to these sensibilities.

The company was founded in 1868 by an American engineer and watchmaker Florentine Ariosto Jones. He landed, along side a river in Schaffhausen, Switzerland where he wished to bring together the craftsmanship of the Swiss with the modern engineering technology from the U.S. (It appears, he was quite successful)
