What's in a name....?

"Have regard for your name, since it will remain for you longer than a great store of gold."
Ecclesiasticus, Aprocrypha (Ec. 41:12)

When we, The Sophistiques, decided to launch a blog, we knew it would be imperative to come up with a name that was both descriptive and gripping. We went back and forth for the better part of a week, before landing on "The Sophisiques with Mo'Tour Detail". We sought the advice of family, friends, associates, enemies, haters, etc. We desired a large amount of varied opinions. Since we are the community lifestyle blog, we wanted to involve the community. We promote the conversation. (From the very outset).

Some of the name that came down the pipeline:

"The Boiler Room Fiasco: the Mo-Tour Scheme" - slightly random

"The Swag Commander: a Mo-tour Way of Living" - the word "Swag" has become a little bastardized, although I still love it.

"The Idiosyncratic Oath: the Mo-Tour Verses" - Uummm...NO!

"Savoir-faire: The Mo-Tour Sphere" - Didn't quite work

"Dernier Cri: The Mo-Tour World" - Too French. (But we like French)

"The Sophisticate: A Mo-Tour Operative" - We're getting warm

"The Sophisticate: Mo-Tour Definition" We're getting hot

The Go Daddy prices and availability for the would-be domain names...

www.sophisticate.com = TAKEN

www.thesophisticate.com = $2,488.00 (Ahem, Moving right along...)

We landed on www.thesophistiques.com. We think it's a good URL. The word "Detail", speaks to our attention to the smallest things. The attention to detail is what we love and we know you'll appreciate.

Mo (Mo'Betta) & Oz (Young Euro) a.k.a. The Sophistiques
